Philosophy
We warmly welcome you to the Line&Jo piercing universe. A bridge created between two worlds, where fine jewellery making makes the exiting body art industry offering the highest standards.
We pay great attention to detail and love to create something unique that is just right for you. So even if you are not quite sure of which piercing you should get, from a simple lobe piercing piercing to an intricate ear curation, our piercing expert(s) will advise you based on anatomy and jewellery style.
We focus our piercing expertise on ear piercings/curations, but Line&Jo offers an extensive variety of facial and body piercings as well, with the same level of competence and care.
Our staff is educated on bloodborne pathogens following the guidelines of the APP – Association of Professional Piercers, and as we think education is crucial for a safe work environment, we attend yearly piercing conferences such as bmx.net in Germany and APP conferences in the UK and US.
Why we don’t use piercing guns
As a goldsmith company, we want to bring you the finest jewellery with the most exquisite quality, so why should Line&Jo piercings be any different? โ While piercing guns may seem to be a quick, easy and convenient way of creating holes, they have huge drawbacks in terms of sterility, tissue damage and inappropriate jewellery design.
We consider unsafe any procedure that places vulnerable tissue in contact with either non-sterile equipment or jewellery that is considered not medically safe for long term internal wear. Such procedures place the recipient at an unacceptableย risk, as reusable ear piercing guns can put clientsย in direct contact with blood and fluids of previous clients making these devices a way of transmitting potential bloodborne pathogens.
With that knowledge, we only utilize sterile and disposable equipment that are suitable for body piercings, the same goes for materials โ Line&Jo only uses materials which are certified as safe for internal implant, and only those should be placed inside a fresh or unhealed piercing.
