Exploring the Sicilian treasure trove of silhouettes, architecture and stories is a huge inspiration for creating jewellery. For me, the figures represent concrete motifs in the physical world, where technology does not exist and everything that was built was done by hand. The fragments I have chosen to work with are small excerpts from a larger decoration and context. They are often inspired by nature's own forms. There are many messages in the choice of motifs and symbols and it is like an infinite treasure trove that lies for eternal inspiration and interpretation.
